What is the best time to arrive at Disneyland
Arrive Early
Disneyland opens at 8am most days, you should be at the gate at least 30 minutes prior to open- if not an hour early on busier days of the year. This will allow you to be at the parks for 'rope drop' where you can be first in line at the 'ropes' blocking off each entrance to the lands.
How early to get to Tokyo Disneyland
Even if you go at a less-busy time of year, we recommend arriving at either park 30 minutes before it opens for your first couple of days. There will already be a long line (or lines) to get inside when you get there, so don't be alarmed.

After countless times using it, I believe that Genie Plus is definitely worth it if you can spring for the extra cost. The only park I do not purchase it for is Animal Kingdom – which is why Disney World now went to park-based pricing as of June 27th, 2023.

Even with the language barrier at Tokyo Disneyland & Tokyo DisneySea the shows are still wonderfully entertaining. The most noticeable aspect during your visit is there's little to no English in dialogue for attractions and entertainment. Almost everything is in Japanese.
